Id choose Dean also, for no other reason than the mighty Cannonball Run!!Pugs on the Wing wrote:If I had to pick a rat, I'd go with Dean. Although I think Sammy was probably the most talented.Keith Jordan wrote:Sinatra was not the best singer in the rat pack but he was a cool dude. Perhaps i like the songs more than his delivery. The music too.
Frank Sinatra or Britney Spears

Sinatra all the way! As Pugs on the Wing put it "Fuck-face", well she can go to hell. She can go to hell and die! Unless she wants to go around a bit. Sorry Franky, she's a face I'd like to fuck. Get it fuck-face? OH I'm on a roll... One of my favorite Sinatra songs is Brazil. Is it in the collection you have Keith?

That song Sinatra does...Fly me to the Moon...the part that goes:
Fly me to the moon
And let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
reminds me a lot (tune-wise) of Neil Young's Like a Hurricane the part that goes:
I am just a dreamer,
But you are just a dream,
You could have been anyone to me.
I can't imagine Neil Young being influenced by a Frankie song...maybe it was just a subconscious tune thing like George Harrison with He's So Fine?
Am I crazy?
Fly me to the moon
And let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars

There's no question in my mind that Sinatra was by far the more talented and original of the two. But I get more, uh, enjoyment out of Britney's music - cheesy and shallow as it is, I need a break now and then from the deeper stuff that comprises most of my musical library (i.e. Floyd, Yes, etc.).
I voted for Britney. Sue me.

Assuming the poll is based on musical talent and not sex appeal, Sinatra hands down. I never was a fan of him but I think he's pretty talented in the line of music he was in. Spears is far better suited for a career in Playboy than the music industry IMO, at least in a music industry that cared more for music quality than pop star imagery.

I'd vote Britney Spears over Frank Sinatra any day. Britney Spears, although her music is shallow and chessy, has amazing talent as an entertainer. She can carry an audience very well, and can keep their attention. Even as well as Jim Morrison or Mick Jagger could. I do have some respect for her in that way, although it sounds stupid.
