I think David Gilmour said "Nick is the best Pink Floyd drummer"
this phrase describes him totally. he is the ideal drummer for Pink Floyd.
But if you speak generally he offered some thrilling perfomances such as Astronomy Domine, Echoes, Time, One of these Days and also some perfomances that would make hard rock drummers go crazy such as When You are in, Hey You, Waiting for the Worms.
And also, he is not gentle all the time. If you see the film from A Saucerful of Secrets in Holland I think, in the early dayw around '69-'70 he is drumming like a maniac and steals the show 100%!
He IS great, no question on that!

I used to like Nick's drumming, but I went through a jazz phase recently, and now it is hard to listen to him.
