Re: Flaming Lips
For this tour they are giving you a chance to download a cd of the show - you needed to buy a package with your ticket - cost an extra £5 or so. As a result there are roios of vertually every show they have one so far.

Re: Flaming Lips
bought Embryonic on day it came out. Still getting to know it but it doesn't seem as free-form jammy as i'd been expecting. Not too keen on the single.
album ratings (the ones i've heard)
In a priest driven ambulance/egg or w/e it's called-7
Soft bulletin-10
Yoshimi-8
Mystics-9 (i know some people don't rate it but there's some sublime moments on it)

Re: Flaming Lips
I had Embryonic a few weeks ago cause they streamed it at thecolbertreport.com where I recorded it before I purchased it on Tuesday. Not too keen on it yet, even after repeated listens. "Convinced Of The Hex" and "See The Leaves" are great, but everything else is just kinda mehhh to me. There is a song called "Everything You Say Now, I Believe You" which was a song recorded during this album that they left off. I absolutely love it! It's far better then the stuff they left on the album!

Re: Flaming Lips
If you bought the "ticket package" that allows you to download the concert you go to, you also get some 'B' sides as well. and if the Flips stay true to form they will release these tracks as a mini cdcwta eugene wrote: There is a song called "Everything You Say Now, I Believe You" which was a song recorded during this album that they left off.
