Enjoy the show mate - get near the front and remember any show you see after a Flips show will seem quite tame and flat

Go here for an example or two of what to expect

If you are at glastonbury check the boys out on Friday night - stranglers playing Friday as well - it will be better than watching that bag of shite U2 who are also doing Friday night

Didn't see this on the last few pages, so I guess it wasn't posted before. The KCRW-radio performance: http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb/m ... aming_lips.
You can watch or listen... whatever you prefer.

Damn!t only one week to go till your first but hopefully not your last Flips show. They Just played the Bonnaroo festival and there second set was Dark side again. Linky dink below for your listening pleasure:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L5WM88B0

Or you can stream the complete concert from here:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... =127190761

Recorders notes

Here is my recording of the Flaming Lips Bonnaroo sbd audio from the npr.org stream. Unfortunately it cuts off about 25 minutes into the 2nd set, the DSOTM set. I went to bed and set my Cool Edit Pro program to record until 3pm. I thought that with the Flips starting at 1am (eastern time), surely they would be done by 3am. (The last time I let me computer record all night it freaked out after about 7 hours and I lost the recording). Little did I know the Flips would do a set break, so that killed alot of time.... Hopefully someone else recorded the full show.
This 592mb zip file contains 4 flac files (pre show interview, set 1, intermission and full interview, set 2 which cuts after 25 minutes). This recording also contains some drop outs... It is what it is, and it's untracked. Do with it what you will. I have no idea what kbps the stream was coming through at, but the quality is high enough and sounds great besides the drop outs, which aren't too bad or long, they sound more like glitches than drop outs.

I've been listening to Clouds taste metallic a bit lately but don't really like it much. The Flaming Lips seem to be a group who only came really good in the last ten or so yrs. of there career.
