Pros and Cons. In my opinion it is Water's most complex, interesting and skilful set of lyrics to date, which had all the qualities of a good novel (although i'm sure most people will tell me its The Wall that worked best). Really liked the atmosphere the album evoked, and while the title track is utterly terrible, the album's climax is beutiful and does an excellent job of summing up the rest of the work.
Would say though that it is musically kind of weak in places, but on the strength of Waters vocals and lyrics i am willing to look beyond that. In saying that, the musical weaknesses do prevent the album from being a classic in my eyes, but certainly my favourite floyd solo album.
Closely followed by The Madcap Laughs actually, then maybe On An Island
Best solo album

It's "Amused To Death" for me.
