Something like that. Crediting "Fictitious Sport" to Nick Mason would be like crediting "Pros And Cons" to Eric Clapton, but it's still a part of Nick's curriculum vitae.

The file info on my mp3 credits the album to "Carla Bley Band with Robert Wyatt and Nick Mason".

Seriously though, the 80s seem like a bad creative period for the band (except pros and cons which i love)
On the whole the 80s was the decade that style forgot (with a few notable exceptions) and that includes almost all of the music produced; well, that I have heard anyway ...

Well, the 80s were the golden age of thrash metal, for one thing.

Well yes, but that I think was the least of the worries. The 80s brought us far worse things than thrash metal (it's not to my taste either, but that's neither here-nor-there for now)

that sounds like the lineup on Fictitious Sports

despite the ickiness of this album, I'm still looking for a copy on vinyl
does it actually say "Richard Wright of Pink Floyd" in the album artwork?
if not, I bet a lot of 2nd hand vinyl dealers put it straight in the 1980s techno-glut dollar bin where itll disappear forever

Having now listened to it I think that's probably the best place it could go!

Exactly, vive la diffrence. If we all liked/did the same things there would be little to talk about.
