John Clare. I cannot even begin to comprehend why the rest of my English class (and those from the other group who are studying him) hate his work so much. Some of the naturalistic poems can become a bit tedious, but the good pieces vastly outweigh anything that isn't interesting. Not to mention the fact that his biographical story is extremely interesting. His works make so much more sense when his biography is taken into account.
