It was all good fun, and it would have been nice to win. It's quite fun to laugh about it all now, though.

I am certain that "Solsbury Hill" and "Sultans of Swing" were put onto our playlist by members of the Green Day forum! It was their secret weapon all along!

I do think we would have won had Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" been the final song on the playlist.

Agreed.

So, there is no-one so far on this forum so far who admits that we had a playlist of music that anyone really liked? ](*,)

We lost???

I did not follow this at all. Anyway, it sounds like you NPFers did well and had a lot of fun.

Wasn't that the whole point of this 'contest'?

I realised that the playlist would be terrible as soon as Nick's Boogie and the Boris track that I suggested received no votes other than mine.

I could do without Hotel California and Paranoid. But I rather like Sultans Of Swing and Solsbury Hill.

I agree with Sean... also, I suggested Solsbury Hill IIRC... so I have to like it ;) Could also have done without Stairway to Heaven, even though I think it's a great song. It's just overplayed...

I've been wanting to check Boris out for a while. They sound a bit more stoner-rock-ish than pure drone like Sunn O)) (whom I loathe, by the way). Got any recommendations?

'Pink' seems like the ideal starter album for Boris. It was the first I heard, anyway, and it seems to be their most popular.

Well, it's alright if you're the one who suggested it, Olzen. That Peter Cushing picture is the best avatar on here and allows you to get away with anything

Thanks a bunch! Yes, Peter Cushing is one of the few who can stitch together a shabby monster, hunt down vampires, travel time and destroy a planet and get away with it. I reckon he'd be able to suggest Solsbury Hill as well ;)
