I think I heard an interview with Mr Gilmours, telleing that his kids did prefer Mr Barretts songs than their own father's records (or did regard them as favourites).

That was the reason why Gilmour performed "Terrapin".

I can't say I disliked this, but the lyrics in the song should benefit from some Waters-DNA...
