Well I guess not everyone is going to like every album in the world so you are entitled to your terrible opinions! OAI is a great album, it was very enjoyable indeed to watch live in Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. Great sound in there. All quite low-key and relaxed. 8)

How about a nice blues album that showcases David's guitar playing? I really liked the stuff he did on Paul McCartney's "Run Devil Run" album and concert video.

I'm not into blues really but he should do something like that. Just go into a studio, noodle away and release the thing. A low-key affair. It's not as if he needs the money.

Yeah, I wonder why Gilmour hasn't done a straight-up blues album, since he's pretty much a blues guitarist with a playing style all his own.

Apart from some moments in the title track I can't find anything sublime in that album. Pleasing maybe, but sublime?

I'm really happy he's reportedly working on a new album as I'm a really big fan of On An Island. I'd love to hear more in the same vein as that. Well, no matter what he does it'll be great, he can't sound bad I think

I get the impression most of the people in the thread would buy any new Gilmour album for the sole purpose of complaining about it

I'll be grateful for anything so long as it gives me the chance to see him perform live again.

Shame I won't see him and Rick do Echoes ever again, that'll go down as the greatest moment of my gigging life \:D/

I would have loved to see David on the closing ceremony of the Olimpic Games. Though it was good to see Nick, and listen to WYWH, and the equilibrist. A very emotional moment to me!
