raisemyrent, wait until you have the physical copy...you asked for thoughts. I am in the same situation - get bluray combo, but might go for an early evaluation copy.

Well I think we all know that I know that's the right answer. I just fool myself somehow by asking something will change. So unfair! Haha but still grateful that the album is coming out at allnosaj wrote:raisemyrent, wait until you have the physical copy...you asked for thoughts. Re: New Pink Floyd Album 'The Endless River'
Reality comes crashing in like shadows into the night:
http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-enter ... 40601.html
But what's blindingly clear is that, without the sparking creativity of a Syd or Roger, all that's left is ghastly faux-psychedelic dinner-party muzak.
One star.
Out of 18 ratings on Rate Your Music, a 2.19 rating.
It seems, so far, that there's the album as it actually is, and the fantasy-veiled album die hard Floyd fans want the album to be.

do you think that if I can somehow cry while at the record store later today, they will give me a copy from the back storage room? I could shake my hands too

Again a brutally honest review.Flathead wrote:Reality comes crashing in like shadows into the night:

When music is mediocre, it's mediocre..

2 people who hang fire until they find a negative review, then fly in with their glee proclaiming it honest, like the others weren't?
You haven't heard it yet, so belt up. Pink Floyd fans, yeah right.

Re: New Pink Floyd Album 'The Endless River'
I pride myself in being impartial And unable to fool myself ;in fact it's part of my day job), but all I know is the division bell was panned by 'critics' and its the album that hold the floor my default at my house and car. I noticed that I lsten to it a lot more than anything else, and by anything else, I mean its live version from pulse. So I'll hold my judgment until the time comes. I'm happier than a clam already; I realised I had NEVER listened to anything on repeat so much at all in my life.
