Maybe that's him saying "look Roger I can literally get anyone to replace you"

The lasers were also present for the second Comfortably Numb solo tonight.

My other half suggested the reason why may be partly because he is well known, he's a 'celebrity' and he has rich parents!
Certainly not for his singing capacities.

2 of Dave's kids want to be actors. Maybe an exchange of favoursmoodyblue wrote:My other half suggested the reason why may be partly because he is well known, he's a 'celebrity' and he has rich parents!

Disturbing to see an actor singing Comfortably Numb with David. He did a shit job, too.

No Benedict or anyone else tonight thankfully. The aggrieved Brian Chambers was back on vocals.

You guys give too much importance to all this crap... Comfortably Numb especially live all about the solo at the end!
And as we can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ewf0GJAw1AU
Gilmour did an amazing job that particular night: no apparent mistake, great tone, some original licks... I've watched about 70% of his Numb solo during that tour and that is easily one of the best.

Apart from getting muddled and missing a couple of notes in the first few seconds of the second solo.
Agree though, great solo, all the Albert hall solos have been. I still can't get over seeing him play that from 3 feet away

Re: The Royal Albert Hall Concerts
Hi all,
Thought I would post a handful of select pics from last nights gig, which was amazing.
I was fortunate enough to be in the Arena, about 20 seats back from the front by the aisle... which meant I headed down to the stage for Run Like Hell and the encore!
CN was the highlight as always, but Sorrow was also phenomenal (the last couple of licks, sustaining that growl on the Black Strat and working the whammy bar like crazy... aural overload!) and In Any Tongue was up there with David's best guitar work on the night.
Anyway, the pics...
