Do you have to consider the numbers ALONG with ONE avatar?? Or is it more than one avatar. Do the numbers have anything to do with the avatars, or are the azatars and the numbers both sepperate clues?
Ok, hows this for the oddest solution (or part solution)?Gunnar hinted at asking Dave in the previous clue and one of the avatars has a picture of Dave playing the guitar with the letters "PI "of Pink Floyd behind him. Now if you feed all 17 groups of 6 numbers hidden in the artwork into a search of the mathematical equation of Pi, each one of the groups is contained as a whole sequence somewhere within the calculation of Pi. What that all means i've no idea but at least its a novel suggestion
Nice idea, but don't think it'll work. Mathematically, every possible combination of digits appears in the decimal expansion of pi. So if you come up with 6 arbitrary digits, they'll appear in pi eventually, but there's no way you could predict or calculate how far "in" you'd find them.
Maybe it's something blindingly simple and we're being too cerebral about all this...

Yes you are right! There are to many rocket scientists in this forum. When you find the key to this enigma you will all say: aaaaaa how could we miss that!.
I used to have a pink floyd poster.... from dark side i believe ... that split the letters that way .... I believe Dave was PI on the poster..... must check
