this is what I wrote yesterday and today:
I KNOW I'LL SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN
1.Ev'ry day is the same.
Ev'ry day is a shame.
Ev'ry day is grey,
but still I stay.
2. Ev'ry day is a grave.
This grave has no name.
This name has no face,
so how is that a grace?
bridge:. a It's been six years,
b. Still you're in my dreams.
Ch.:a.Well I look outside,
But the streets don't care
If I have something inside to hide.
b.Well this life won't work,
So I think I'll just walk.
I hope I'll see your face again.
I'm living on a hope again.
3. I'm thinking again,
My head is a plane.
It's aching again,
Might be a migrene, but what I know you're in my head again.
4. Grey-grey grass,
Long-long path,
Things move fast,
they had colors in my past.
bridge:a.
b.
Ch.:a. Well I lok aside,
But the folks don't mind
If I have something inside to hide.
b.Well this life won't work,
So I just keep walking
In hope to see your face again.
I'm livin'g on a hope again.
improvisation with a soft hard-rock guitar solo
Ch.: Come stay by my side,
Then ev'rything's alright.
That's why I love you, baby dame.
And I know I'll see your face someday.
I know I'll see your face again. (repeat this line as much as you want)
chorus music - from "The Verve's "The drugs won't work"; verse and bridge music in the same tones/tonality.

I showed a couple of poems to my ex-guitar teacher and a band that was practising at the time (some metal/hard-rock stuff, quite nice), and they really liked them, and he told me he could give them to a composer
Today I'll show the same to my keyboard player, who I'm forming Astral Fire with, - hope he likes them and composes music (so I can choose between two versions

why thank youironbaden wrote:soryy to pop off topic ...But...Astral Fire...what a cool name.

you know, it started when I visited the Astral Piper community (it's here http://www.sydbarrett.org/news.htm), there I go the idea. Also there's a long-time fan playing Syd and his songs, and I think he calls himself Piper or something...
I thought it over ad concluded that AF will be a band that is:
1.interested is space-rock
2.telling truth (like, it lightens)
3.hot
and btw anyone I showed these lyrics liked them and two of them agreed to give me some music material for the lyrics

meanwhile, I wrote some sketches for the new songs, mostly in Syd's style
