IMO Punk and Heavy Metal are one and the same.

Do you mean the attitude, or musically?

The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead was in many ways a classic.

I'm 15 in october, and although there has been a ton of horrible music since 1979, there has been good music as well. Metallica was great in the 80's, and today there are bands producing albums I consider classic such as Tool, Radiohead, System Of a Down and Wilco, to name a few.

Oh my god, you're only 14? You were wasting me in that Radiohead debate :D

I'm 16 and i considered myself young for this forum, that's just taking the biscuit. Wow. Back when i was your age i listened to some awful music, i hadn't developed music taste yet.

Howver, System Of A Down are IMY awful. The singer has about as much talent as Pete Tong and the band just seem to be corporate rock ******* that feed on their mtv friendly videos that at face value have some sort of anger but are really all part of their "it's cool to self loathe" marketing strategies that palute american music channels all to often. And yes, i have heard the album toxcity so don't presume i have no idea what i'm on about.

But hey, that's my opinion, i'm not saying share it, just consider it for a second before telling me i'm wrong.

EDITED BY ADMIN - You are annoying me now David. Here is a guideline if you cannot moderate your foul mouth. Would you say that word in front of a respectable 10 year old girl/boy? Some kids have foul mouths and probably take after their parents or something but, on this forum, we do not use such filthy terms. This forum is for everybody and you are trying my patience now.

I would just like to say in my parent's defence that i certainly didn't take from them 'cause neither of them use filthy language, however i got a lot of life's pressures on me right now so i tend to vent frustrations with swear words.

Just so nobody judges my parents
