It had potential and although it does sound dated to late sixties than his other songs, Would have worked on Saucerful (unless that released before?)

I recall hearing this when I first played the box and was struck by the occasional religious references in the lyrics and the semi-religious chanting ... as said above, an interesting experiment.

It sounds like a blueprint for the career of The Fleet Foxes.

I just find the use of the word "grapevine" completely hilarious. Don't ask me why

Re: Pink Floyd - Roger’s Boogie song
I think Roger was going for a strong Marty Balin vibe in the delivery of this song. The lyrics are brief but compelling:
Lady divine, I hear on the grapevine
Gabriel came to the stable last night
Just two lines! Where was this song going? I don't think it is anything much more than a bit of a pastiche, or rough sketch, but it is interesting to hear the Cirrus Minor chord progression in the chorus/bridge sections.

This track wasn't quite what I was expecting when I first listened to it. I'm not sure what I was expecting though.
It's an interesting piece, but not one of the best in that box set.

I can't remember if I've never heard this before, or if it has slipped my imperfect memory. I'm far from having all the extra releases and
However, I will say: I like it!
To me it shows some young people stretching their creative muscles. And, of course, we know where that led.
