has anybody every heard the words.....
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.
With bright knives He releaseth my soul.
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.
He converteth me to lamb cutlets,
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.
When cometh the day we lowly ones,
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate,
Lo, we shall rise up,
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.
I think i've heard this said during the song once, and i have no idea where i was listening to it. I have the Echoes cd, and when this is said all that is heard is a keyboard/guitar solo. Can anybody relate?
Sheep, a hidden message?

In the original studio version (the one on Animals and Echoes,) the voice speaking the lines is fed through a Vocoder...which basically means that the voice is being filtered through a synthesizer and notes are being played for each syllable spoken.
This makes it a bit difficult to hear...even following along with the lyric sheet, I get lost.

bmet suggested that those that can should listen to the RoIO of the Oakland concert of 5/9/77. Luckily I have it. During Sheep most of the verse is actually quite clear (although very electronic.)
It never even occured to me that there were words spoken on the studio version. Guess I've never played it loud enough.
Hmmm. gotta go

Re: Sheep, a hidden message?
Have you ever seen that noise that repeats and shows different words and phrases as it plays over and over and all over them fit? That's how I feel about this segment. It's always said exactly what I need it to...
