I also really like Black Sabbath's "Born Again" album which is unfairly bashed by critics all over the world. Ian Gillan rocks, dammit! Speaking of Sabbath, I also really like the song "Headless Cross".

Hey, Gillan is the man! But only in Purple, and in the 70s, I think. He just wasn't as good in the 80s.
Personally, some of Iron Maiden (especially Flight of Icarus and Run to the Hills). The band are great technically, and weren't cheesy at all with Di'Anno, but when Bruce came in, the cheese came too. Not to say I don't like that era, I love it! but it is sometimes cheesy. (SPANDEX, GOOD GOD NO!)
