It's all these wierd sounds...It's great but hopefully they'll put one where he actually sings.

My guess is that its the intro to the album...it has the bell, like picking up from DB...grass was greener and whatever, leading into murky ON AN ISLAND terrain...besides, press said something about sound sculpure...I'm excited!

At "A fleeting glimpse forum" there was two links to the "On an Island" track. One from a NY radio station and one from Argentina. One thing I don't understand is that it is two different versions of this song.

Seems like the track that has been circulated is the abbridged version, which means that the second upload you mention, which I just listened to, is the extended solo version that will be on the album. Mas guitar solos, muy muy bueno.

Ummm I am new here and I posted a better quality On A Island and it was removed and I was sent a don't do that again e-mail yesterday... Why was this allowed and mine not?

Hi zoo.
Not sure why that could have happened since it's obviously not available in shops right now so no-ones doing anyone out of royalties and neither of the downloads are that great...well I've only got the one I posted - haven't heard the one that's better quality :?

Anyway, I think it should be allowed for now ! It's not going to stop people from buying the album once it's out....if so then they're crazy :)

BTW Gilmour's site is playing another new track from the album today. It is haunting. I think this album is going to be totally different for David. I love it. Anyhow can't wait to see him at Radio City in April. :) If those links have died I have it on my hard drive and I can post it here myself.

Wow, that sounds awesome... I can hardly wait for the album to be released, this is such beautiful music. If only those dj's could shut up for a moment :lol:
