"Money"

Post by qjamesfloyd »

I have just watched the new The Italian Job film, which i loved, but i forgot that the song Money was in it,so,i'm glad i went to see it,shame they did'nt use the original Floyd version though, the original had more power i fell, but whatever,it is still cool to hear the Floyd's music nice and loud in a cinema. It has always supprised me that there is'nt more Floyd music used in films, the music could be perfect for use in so many films, maybe the band keep saying no!!!which would be weird. But it was cool to hear a track from Dark Side Of The Moon in a film released in 2003,the anniversary year.

I didn't like that version very much at all. The vocals were too weak.

If I'm not mistaken it's done by Velvet Revolver which is Slash, Duff and Matt from Guns And Roses with Scott Weiland of STP on vocals.

I saw The Italian Job during the summer and it sucked... but then they started playing "Money" and I got all excited until I realized that it wasn't the original version... jeez.. they could at least be decent and play the real version!!!

no can do. PF/waters dont sell their songs for commercials/b-class movies. anyway. that song is already overplayed.

oh i understand. yes, i do believe that "money" is overplayed and is one of those good songs that has turned into a song that everyone knows, whether they appreciate pink floyd or not
