HI EVERYONE

COULD ANYONE TELL ME IF THERE IS AN OFFICIAL PINK FLOYD FAN CLUB
OUT THERE

JUST GOT MY TICKETS TO SEE THE AUSSIE FLOYD AGAIN,CAN'T WAIT
LOADS OF BEER AND BRILLIAN TUNES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF THERE IS'NT A FLOYD FAN CLUB MAYBE SOMEONE SHOULD START ONE

What is the purpose of a fan club?

To offer "officially liscensed" Pink Floyd T-shirts and other merchandise? (You can find those in shopping malls and even the odd department store)

To offer the fans access to live recordings and footage?
(Keith does a rather good job of that...as does Kazaa and ebay.)

To give members advance opportunities to get tickets for shows before everyone else?
(And thus make you miss the chance to camp out in line with other Floyd fans and maybe make new friendships.)

To offer mistaken interpretations of the lyrics?
(You can get THAT anywhere.)

In the end, if you really think about it, the purpose of an "official" fan club is to give members something to wave in the faces of "lesser" fans. It provides a way to mark the elite from the rabbel.

Something Floyd have always been against, no?

I rather like being a fan club of one...and a member of a community of other fan clubs of one.

hey,
why do you need a separate Official Fan Club?
You will find all the die hard Floydians ( i wish they make this word a new entry in English Vocabulary! hey let's make this a new topic) from all over the world in this forum.
If you feel this is a virtual world then get hold of all the floydians from your country/location who have registered here and make a brotherhood among yourselves.

"Brotherhood of floydians -A strong bond to last life-long".
