I ordered LP format from Roger Waters' store, and they are shipping them out on the release date, which means a week or so of waiting to hear the records.

Anyone got a hold of the LP edition? I am curious what is "An Original Composition" on the Side D, which is a bonus not found on the CD and digital formats. It is a single track some 12 minutes long.

What are the offical credits for each song on 'Redux'?
How do they compare to those of the original Pink Floyd album?

According to Wikipedia, the music of 'Breathe (In the Air)' is composed by Wright and Gilmour. Also on 'Redux'.
Even though it's originally fully credited to Waters, as early version on 'Music from The Body' (1970).

Credits are the same as the original. Except for The Great Gig in the Sky, which is credited solely to Rick on the Redux version. Or is that the same on the original? Thought Claire Torry got a credit too.

One of the things that have hurt Roger Waters career post-Floyd the most is that his fans are peddling Amused To Death as his best solo album, when in fact it is his worst and a poor reflection of the quality of his solo work as a whole. Radio KAOS alone is one of the best albums produced in the last century. An effort the other Floyd members could only dream of achieving, even as a team.

Due to these misconceptions and the pleb friendly image of David Gilmour and Ricky Wright, I suspect this album too will go largely unnoticed. People don't want to give Waters the chance because they think he's an asshole and because they think Gilmour and Wright was the heart of Pink Floyd. The opposite is the case.

Roger Waters is the greatest musical talent in the last 100 years, and he has just released another album. I for one am going to do the smart thing, I'm going to enjoy it.

Torry (rightfully) got credits after a law suit, on later releases of the Pink Floyd album.

Waters doesn't use her vocal line on 'Redux'.
So, I guess that's why she's not mentioned there.

Other than that, the credits are the very same?

I guess Gilmour, Mason and Wright (his heirs) must have given permission.
And why not? Even though they didn't actively contribute to this 'Redux' album, they're laughing all the way to the bank. (MONEY!)

“When does a veteran get to be a crock?”

It’s time for Roger to give up the ghost. If he just wants to read from his autobiography, advertise it as a book reading.

I don't see a problem. It was advertised as the dark side of the moon redux live, and that's what people got. Waters probably thought mostly fans would show up.

I don't think he will, but I hope he does because it's fucking brilliant. Time was always my favorite song and somehow this crazy bastard has managed to do a remake that in a way, is as good. It's like I have 2 favorite songs now. Comfortably Numb too, just awe inspiring in its interpretation. Keep em coming I say.

Number three in the UK midweeks. Expect a lot of posts of Roger complaining about Drake this weekend!
It's the total collapse of weeks in chart Roger will get to experience.
I'm not buying a copy. And although I've never charged £500 I have myself told poetry audiences to fuck off if they don't like the new stuff!

It is not. Maybe some will like it. As everything.
