Do you mean Floyd covering a Beatles tune ? or the actual Beatles with Floyd playing alongside them. Either way, I never heard of this. I know during the recording of Piper, the Beatles were recoding SP if I recall.

Theres a song floating around called: What A Shame Mary Jane, that is said to of been done by Syd and the Beatles, but there is alot of speculation. Roger Waters sang Across the Universe for a John Lennon tribute special...

What A Shame Mary Jane actually appears on Anthology 3. Just figured I'd mention that.

There is a lot of weird talk about this whole thing,i heard that it was meant to be just John and Syd playing together and the song was called "Whats the new Mary Jane"so who knows,Paul McCartney was around for the recording of a few classic albums,While the Beatles made Pepper, and the Floyd were making Pipier, the members of the Floyd were taken in to meet the Beatles, what happened i don't know,i have'nt heard the Beatles talk about this!!,Paul was also in the next studio at Abbey Road when Mike Oldfield was making Tubular Bells, and Mike Oldfield was in New York the night John Lennon was shot, weird eh!!!!

Tim Willis who wrote the extensively researched book about Syd, 'Madcap' says there was never a collaboration with the beatles and the floyd.
