Pink Floyd... the musical

Post by Stephen »

We have had Queen the musical and now Rod Stewart the musical, what about Pink Floyd. The question is who would you pick to play the various parts, especially if it were made into a movie.....Mosespa(or his mother) could play Dave Gilmour for starters

LOL! You think so? I don't know...from the pic in his avatar I think he could pull off Nick Mason a little better....put a moustache on him...can you see it?

But then again...I have a strange way of seeing people. Just the other day I was watching a Dem candidate debate and I swear Gen. Wesley Clark had a Syd Barrettish smile...

Maybe Meddler could play David? (someone had commented that his recent pic looked like the pic of David in his avatar)

Bob Geldof should dye his hair black, get a stubble and he'd be a perfect Syd.

LOL...LOL...LOL...LOL...

Actually, I think it would be better if I portrayed Gilmour offstage as lead guitarist in the pit band...then we could have Leonardo DiCaprio mime along with my playing as he portrays Gilmour.

Johnny Depp as Syd

Richard Gere as Roger

Cheech as Nick Mason

and I can't think of a clever answer for who could play Rick.

To be honest...I used to play in a band with a bassisst whom a lot of people thought resembled Roger...and we saw pictures of Gilmour where I kind of looked like him.

Jeremy Irons.

And Gere would require some severe elevator shoes.

1. They are similar to each other, but the musical would have to be set in present time.

2. ????

Of course if you did this you would have to give up your position as moderator for a life of easy women ,loud rock music ,hero worship and untold wealth

Jeremy Irons.
You're a genius. I've been thinking about this question allday long...
The only thing I could think of was Chuck Norris  , but that's mainly because of the beard Rick's wearing on the inside of the cover of 'meddle'.
