Philatelic Floyd and

Post by salty3dog »

Hello group....

[stamps found on a commercial site but no logon and free searching]

Not a stamp collector myself but I found a link to a stamp site that had a Zappa-stampa. To my delight there were a couple Floyd Stamps also. I realize that many small and poor countries get on the marketing bankwagon but stamps can be a lifeline for needed revenue. And if you have to use a stamp, why not one you like!

I enjoyed this set from TUVA

The one from BATUM seems more of a rip... from the sixties and only a trio

BTW Tuva is home of the TUVAN throat singers (which if you like esoteric mind music you should check out too)

The Throat Singers of Tuva:
Testing the limits of vocal ingenuity, throat-singers can create sounds unlike anything in ordinary speech and song--carrying two musical lines simultaneously, say, or harmonizing with a waterfall ...
