It's supposed to be a Pink Floyd album. It's bad enough that there are so many other songwriters from outside the band, Gilmour's wife writing the lyrics is pure spinal tap
Although i like TDB, i think in terms of credibility, it was a mistake to have other writers. Wright, Mason and Gilmoyr could have made a Floydalbum in the WYWH- style with more instrumentals in which they are very good.

Same as my water and glass metaphor i think which defines the glass as the musical template and the water as the lyrical/ conceptual content... Though i think he's meaning it in the other way

its an ok album, with many trademark PF sounds, resulting in only a few good songs...it sounds floydish at times, others, like a Dave solo album. I sort of consider it a PF album when I'm in the mood...
