What do people make of More?

I'm prompted by the excellent version of Green on the wonderful
new download that Mr Jorden has put out. I like Nile, Green and
Cymberline - great. Green and Cymberline are really classic songs
from that period. They also have great personal meaning to me.

More has some very good songs. I wish they played stuff like Ibiza Bar or Cirrus Minor live.

More is one of my favorite albums, personally, and they did kind of play ibiza bar/nile song live. They played guitar riffs from it during the man and the journey in the song called behold the temple of light. Quicksilver, green is the colour, cymbaline, more blues (in a way), and main theme from more were played live.

Green is the Colour and Main theme from More are my favorites played live.

I love it!

More along with OBC were fun to listen to and very experimental. These soundtracks really afforded them the time to play around in the studio a bit on someone elses expense. I like the fact that there is such a mix of musical styles.

it has some fab (and perhaps underrated) songs on it.

Green is the colour is perhaps my favourite Floyd tune, I wish they'd have recorded it more like the live versions though.

What, to run along with cwtae :p

They never played green is the colour as a separate track, it was always followed by cwtae, from its first playing on 1969-04-14 to it's final playing on 1971-08-13.

:smt075 Ummagumma. I havn't looked into whether both were recorded together during the performance but we were all given Careful with that axe, Eugene by itself on the album.
As for RoIO's, I have a sneaking feeling you could be wrong. I'm sure I've come across Green is the Colour by itself. I'll let you know if (when) I find it. :smt043

Careful with that Axe, Eugene has been played separately many, many times. But green is the colour was never played separately. One would think that by listening to the bootleg from 1970-11-26, but it's just an edit, because the following careful with that axe, eugene wasn't recorded. So they just took the end of embryo, and spliced it onto green is the colour.

Careful with that Axe, Eugene was played from like, 1968-05-23 to 1973-11-13, or sometime around there, not completely sure. So yeah, it was played quite a bit without green is the colour.
