To what extent do you think 70's Pink Floyd Shows have influeanced today's Live Rock Shows?
(Of Course for most of you, this question may be based on what you've
heard, read,or seen in pictures and videos)

I saw the band "Journey" in 1983 at Alpine Valley in East Troy Wisconsin. It is a large outdoor venue made famous by the unfortunate death of Stevie Ray Vaughn( His helicopter crashed after playing a gig there)
Anyway, this concert featured a huge video screen in the background to project the band so all the people in the Cheap grass seats (like me) could see them.
At the time, this was relatively new to concert goers and Steve Perry credited Pink Floyd for the idea.

I recentley saw some newer bands like SubArachnoid Space form San Francisco, Bardo Pond from Philadelphia, Cul De Sac from Boston and of course Mogwai from Scotland. They all have a very heavy early Floyd sound, but with a more mdern tone to them. And each had their own sort of primitave, but highly effective light show...maybe Mogwai's was a bit more fine tuned than the other bands.
High Marks all around!
