It sounds almost cd quality (yes i know this is probably old news to some of you, especially meddler). Other bands have bbc sessions why doesnt floyd? Who is stopping it?

I totally agree. They have released official concerts for Led Zep and the Who, so why not PF.

A few months ago the BBC braodcast an hour of PF in concert (Wembley Empire Pool, November 1974) over their internet radio site (check out http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/bbcsessions ... cket.shtml), so why not do it on CD?

They must also have the Venice concert from 1987 in the can, as I remember that they broadcast it in 1988. And then there's all the older stuff ... (was Meddler was sourced from a BBC promo? see http://www.pf-roio.de/roio/roio-cd/meddler.cd.html)

While we're on the subject, why is there no official release from KQED of the 29/4/70 concert? I have a VCD of this, and the introduction asks the viewer if they would be interested in getting a copy on video cassette or video disc (!) as part of a home library! Obviously there was not enough demand at the time it was shown .... what a missed opportunity! I even emailed KQED recently but have not had a response to date.

FYI.

'Meddler', Harvest release: HRV CDR 001 was accidentally released in mono. Harvest re-released this BBC broadcast in stereo and named it 'Meddled HVR CDR 001'
