I am not aware your opinions on the matter, I suppose that is why I write to you now.. But I generally liked Doyle Bramhall II singing some of Gilmour's parts during the In the Flesh tours. I think on Roger's new record if he added Doyle and Jon Carin's vocals into some songs...sharing the vocals..it would make for a much better record that your average everyday floyd fan would accept and generally like. With Roger singing the whole time and using lots of backup singers, I don't see how any average Floyd fans will accept it..or any radio stations for that matter.
Which..don't get me started on the state of commercial radio... but it still would be nice to hear some new Roger studio material on rock and classic rock radio.
Doyle Bramhall II, next Roger record..?

Exactly right.. travelled off into space there didn't we..
But like for instance on the new record.. what if Doyle sang some parts, Jon Carin, and maybe Nick could play drums on a song or two... would make a very good record I think..

That certainly raises some interesting questions. Nick has been kind of in the middle of this whole Rog/Dave thing for th last 20 years or so. now that Nick and Rog seemed to have made up, what does mean for Dave & Rick? If Dave has planned all along to tour Floyd again after his solo stuff is finished, he would need Nick I think to be with them. Dave thinking that maybe Nick would tour with Roger could speed things up again? I think Rick's allegience is with Dave and Nick is probably on the fence?NewEarthMud wrote:That wouldn't be a Roger solo record though.
I don't think Roger and Dave should ever play together again.. and I don't think Roger would ever play with Rick again.. but he would Nick.
