What was the most recent album you have bought by a new band.
Mine's would be the Black Keys.

Wow, all CDs I've bought this year are Pink Floyd's.....
The last debut album I recall having acquired, was probably 'K' by Kula Shaker, so that was a loooooooong time ago....Nope, wait. It was 'Attack of the Grey Lantern', by Mansun...which was a loooooong time ago, as well.
Hmm...I really liked that album...

the best album by a new band i've gotten was "californication" from the red hot chili peppers. john frusciante actually got his playing style from oldies music and old r&b. so it actually has some stucture and real musicality. plus, flea is only one of the best bassists that's ever lived.

Yeah...the Chili Peppers have been around for, like, twenty years now.
The last "new" album I bought by a "new" band would have to be the debut cd by Zwan.

I love Californication.
The last new album I bought was Mogwai's Happy Songs For Happy People about a month ago. Not a purchase I regret in the least.

Behind The Music by The Soundtrack of Our Lives
Saw them open for Oasis last year in Detroit, and finally got around to buying their last album. It's a good listen, and has elements of Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Ziggy era Bowie.

RHCPs Californication and by the way are their worst albums.
and yes... definetly not very new stuff.
I prefer One Hot Minute, Freakey styley and the uplift mojo party plan.

Hmh, the last new album by a new(ish) band was McLusky Do Dallas by McLusky, that I bought last year. Welsh indie-rock, nothing special though....
