Seems he is quite angry with the whole Glastonbury thing!

A very difficult speech for him to make, he almost broke down when proposing the toast to Richard.

I'm not sure angry is the right word, he looks upset rather than, not suprising really. It can't have been an easy speech to make, it was a nice thought all the same and you would have to have a heart of stone to not feel for him after hearing that wobble in his voice at the end.

Yeah. Have to agree with that. It was a dignified speech and nice of him to have praised Rick in the manner he did. It's nice that Rick got to see how highly people thought of him on David's tour.

I think the organisers made a BIG mistake this year. Letting that rapper on as headline and turning old Davey away.

In an interview with Brain Damage, Ron Geesin said:
"...early on, when I was talking with David, he said "Well, Rick might fancy to turn out." He definitely said that. And then quite soon after that he said "No, it may be best just to... I'll just come and do it. You'd better keep it low key... it's your gig, Ron".

For some reason I think that David scratched the idea of inviting Rick to perform Atom Heart Mother because he planned to perform with him at Glastonbury festival. Notice how agents contacted Glastonbury organizers at the beginning of June, just a week before AHM perfomance:
"But when their agents approached organisers three weeks before the festival they were told the line up had already been finalised."
"Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis told the BBC that she was “upset” by Gilmour's comments, but added: “Hopefully he understands, or I think maybe he has been misinformed by someone that it was some sort of thing about them, but it wasn't at all, it was just purely because we couldn't fit them on anywhere. She said it was not imaginable to downscale one of the event's headliners – Kings of Leon, Jay-Z and The Verve – in order to accommodate the band."

Sure, David blamed the organisers. On other hand, why did the agents contact them at the eleventh hour?

Let's face it - the Floyd always were a bunch of posh boys from good middle class families - nothing whatsoever in common with the working class people of this country, although at times Roger strived to connect with his lyrics. So I reckon Glaaaaastonbury is about right
