I changed Yugoslavia to Serbia. The list does not change alphabetical order automatically so is towards the bottom of the list after Yemen.

Entered. Guess where I put Animals and the Final Cut. If they had a minus 10 I'd have gone for that.

Re: The Big Pink Floyd Survey (January 2009) - Take Survey Now!
776 surveys submitted now. Seems to be doing quite well.
I may have to get one of my old econometrics textbooks out to calculate the sample size needed to estimate with 95% confidence what the "population" answers would be in this survey. In English, how many people need to fill in the survey to allow me to say this % of "fans" in general think this.... with 95% confidence in saying it! I doubt it would be more than 1,000 or so. If anyone knows what I am talking about and the technique and formulas are fresh in their mind, do feel free to perform the calculations!

Ha. I think I'll join you just to confuse the issue.Hudini wrote:I am now a citizen of South Sandwich Islands, as far as this survey is concerned. I hope that's not a political issue.

I will delete your two responses.PooF wrote:Ha. I think I'll join you just to confuse the issue.Hudini wrote:I am now a citizen of South Sandwich Islands, as far as this survey is concerned. I hope that's not a political issue.
There are 910 responses now. I think I will leave it a few days and see where it ends up then. I will do a feature for the NPF Magazine thing and let everyone know on here and in the newsletter too.

1000 results in now but I shall wait a week or so to see how many more come in before presenting and commenting upon the results.
Just to keep you talking (I hope) here are the current results for the ratings of the albums, summarised as weighted scores, i.e. not heard = # votes * 0, Excellent! = # votes * 5 etc.
01 - The Dark Side of the Moon - 4442
02 - Wish You Were Here - 4381
03 - The Wall - 4080
04 - Animals - 4034
05 - Meddle - 3764
06 - The Division Bell - 3427
07 - Piper At The Gates of Dawn - 3025
08 - Atom Heart Mother - 2982
09 - A Momentary Lapse of Reason - 2933
10 - The Final Cut - 2912
11 - A Saucerful of Secrets - 2844
12 - Obscured by Clouds - 2841
13 - Ummagumma - 2520
14 - Soundtrack from the Film More - 2183
Personally, I am absolutely disgusted where "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" currently is. Above the final cut???
