Re: Flaming Lips
That is Wayne's house. A number of set pieces in the film are in his back yard.

dissafect-sure, you can send that photo! Read the liner notes by Wayne in the DVD cover and the movie will make alot more sense. I've actually seen it twice now so you can make it through atleast once!

Here is a NYTimes article on Wayne's house that I found pretty cool:

Re: Flaming Lips
I sent the pic to my buddy. I just got a reply:
Wayne will be glad to know that he is being stalked!
He still insists that he has no idea what the movie is about. I told him to hurry up and send me a copy. I'll post again once I've seen it.

Re: Flaming Lips
yeah, this is so true, i finally saw them 2 weeks ago. simply amazing!drafsack wrote:If you get the chance to see them then do so its the best concert you will ever go to with confetti, balloons, people on the stage in animal concerts and lasers. Once you have seen them live every gig after that seems flat
for some reason i don't care much for soft bulletin, but the rest of their albums are great, really looking forward to their new double-album 'embryonic' due out in september.
they've also done some great pink floyd covers (not released officially though) like breath and lucifer sam and even a version of syd barrett's opel. i actually started to like darkside of the moon after i'd been listening to flaming lips, there are lots of similarities.

They covered Arnold Layne during their 2002 shows and sampled Brain Damage when they covered She's gone mad by the chainsaw kittenspsychocandy wrote: they've also done some great pink floyd covers (not released officially though) like breath and lucifer sam and even a version of syd barrett's opel. i actually started to like darkside of the moon after i'd been listening to flaming lips, there are lots of similarities.

Re: Flaming Lips
Yeah..but I have no idea what it is.
I did enjoy some tacos from the burrito truck at their after -show party and helped myself to a few of the beverages. Many dancing girls were on stage earlier and that made me hungry. Such a spectacle. No spaceship, though. Lame.
Don't ask me what songs they played because I don't know the names of any of their songs. Many new ones, I'm told. Built to Spill only played 6 songs. They started at 6:45! Maybe Wayne likes to go to bed early.

Re: Flaming Lips
during the oz shows they entered the stage through a pulsating virgina, had a large inflatable catapiller and the usual balloons and confetti etc - only played two songs from the new album
