I gave in a lot sooner than I wanted to and pre-ordered the DSOTM Immersion set today. According to Amazon it should be with me by Wednesday.

Excellent. I have a vinly on the way and Dark Side immersion edition and perhaps some other goodies from PF management. Hoping to get them tomorrow or Saturday. They have been sent apparently so quite excited about that!
I shall, of course, write a review like I did for David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk Complete Special Edition Review.

My copy of the DSOTM immersion boxset came yesterday (saturday) a day or so ahead of the uk release which was a brucie bonus YAY. From what i have played so far the Wembley 74 and the Disc 6 material its excellent stuff and well worth teh money.
The wembley material and most of Disc 6 is worth the money alone imho, its good too have a new live official/set available too buy finally. Hopefully we will get new footage released from pre-darkside and the AMLOR tour offically released as plenty of stuff which could be released from various tv and pro shot concerts all and in all Time will tell.
Right im off to play DSOTM from Wembley 74 in full

The Dark Side Of The Moon
No-one in March 1973 could have imagined that an album released in that month would still be thrilling listeners 38 years later, but it’s true. Today marks the UK release (tomorrow if you’re in North America) of a major re-appraisal of one of rock’s biggest –selling albums:

Re: Why Pink Floyd - EMI Release Schedule Back catalogue Rel
I am staggered (in a bad way) by that unboxing video. Being a fan of product design, I sort of assumed that everything that came in the box would be neatly organised. (For the Quadrophenia boxed set, like The Band boxed set or the Springsteen Darkness set, the discs are housed in a hardback book, which strikes me as the obvious way of doing this.) PF just seem to have shoved everything in a box ... on top of the actual discs which - let's face it - are the only things that you are going to want to access on anything like a frequent basis.
There may be some sour grapes about this, because I decided not to order the Immersion sets, but I can't help feeling seriously underwhelmed by the supposed 'pride of ownership' here.

I quite like the throw it all in a box idea. Having things too neat is boring!!
