May be, because the more they "light up the sky", the more they burn, that is, which is caused by friction. The more they burn, the smaller they get as they reach Earth (or any surface). But watch out, they're still flying at a high speed as they land; a hit from them may kill like a bullet.admiral panther wrote:did i hear some of those shooting stars are no bigger than a grain of sand cause ive seen them light up the sky..

First he quits Apple, then snap, he's dead. Respect, mr Jobs. Rest in peace. I thought I'd never use iTunes - but I do now.

I was quite upset when I read the news this morning. He has always said he would stand down when he felt he couldn't give it his all. No one knew just how bad he was I guess. RIP.

It wasn't a shock seeing as he looked pretty terrible. I'd never classify myself as an Apple fanboy (or fangirl if you want to be pedantic) but he did help make the wonderful world of computers and gadgets that bit shinier and more exciting. I've got my iPod charging up on the desk beside me as I type and that is certainly something that has made my life that little bit more enjoyable. Yeah, I know Apple didn't invent the mp3 player but the iPod is one of life's nicer inventions.

I think for a 56-year-old he looked fine.
I like that they used iPod/iPhone candle app (?) in this video

I said "looked" as in "he did look like a 56-year-old", not his health status.
I know cancer is bullshit, my close friend died into it.

DING-DONG, GADHAFI'S DEAD!!!
It took long enough. He probably slipped in the tub, because despite the fact that he was hanging out of the sunroof of an SUV and flipping off the people as he quaffed champagne and snorted coke, he was a hard little bastard to kill.
The people of Libya are currently shooting into the air in celebration. Apparently they have never heard the theory that what goes up, must come down. I think some modern science education should be the first order of the day in that beleaguered domain.

Both of which have worked swimmingly well. The fear I have is that eventually extremist Islam will fill the vacuum.

The question is: well for whom? Certainly not for the people of those countries. But if you meant that they worked well to fulfill the directives from the west, I must agree.snifferdog wrote:Both of which have worked swimmingly well.
