Teenage Cancer Trust.

Post by moodyblue »

Anyone going?

I've been lucky enough to see the Brighton show, a couple of RAH shows and caught the Toronto gig a few weeks ago but wasn't able to be at my comp when these shows went on sale. Keen eye on stub hub for this one. :?

I keep wondering if this tour will be the last time to hear the maestro live and like a drug, you just keep wanting more and more. It really is too good to resist.

By the way, it's great reading all the reviews and the enthusiasm of us all in posting our thoughts on his shows. :D

Hi,

I have two tickets for Sunday's gig at Royal Albert Hall that I'm selling for face value. No rip offs, no scalping, but I can't make it now so want to make sure others can get there at a decent price.
Great seats, Arena D. Seated together. Face value as printed on each ticket is exactly £100 each.
So total for both tickets I am looking for is £200.

Let me know, first come first served. I am going in September and was there last year too so don't feel too bad about missing this.
If you know anyone that might want these let me know.

Thanks
Mark

Seemingly did a little purple rain tribute to Prince tonight

Edit: he worked a bit of purple rain into comfy numb, right before the second solo, nice touch

Indeed Kjek.
I sat there wondering if he'd acknowledge Prince in any way and in inevitable Gilmour style and without any fuss, he most certainly did.
Sounded like they'd not really rehearsed it in great detail but probably most people wondered what the hell was going on with the solo for a few seconds.
I noticed Polly at the sound desk again. Quite interesting seeing her jumping up and down during 'Run Like Hell' like a banshee.

Interesting that he chose a very staccato style into and out of the Purple Rain section.

I wasn't there but did I read somewhere that the concert was filmed ?

If so I wonder if that's why he chose to not to blend it in, as the way he played it would make sense should they choose Edit out the Purple Rain section of any future recorded releases ?

If they did release the show, I wouldn't want him to cut that out. The transition between the Purple Rain solo and Comfortably Numb's solo was sublime - Likewise going into Purple Rain.
