Ah there you have it. Official confirmation that there'll be no Echoes without Rick, as I suspected

Echoes? I don't think replacing his bass part makes a great deal of difference to be honest

Well for some person, all PF songs are ''weird'' without Roger.

I don't agree tho... Echoes without Roger is fine, that 2006 version is damn close to ''Pompeii'' and much better than the album version imo.
Rick keyboard playing is the most crucial aspect of the PF sound imo.

Goosebumps from Rick's initial 'ping' to the opening notes through the Leslie speaker before Dave's guitar comes in
Seeing them both perform that live is one of the highlights of my life

Pompeii is a Pink Floyd thing, not a solo thing, thus the empty vibe (also because of Rick and Nick).
If Dave was a cooler guy Roger would be there. Roger was the dominant presence in the original performance.

Wow, that is such a bizarre, distorted version of reality.
He was the frontman for the entire thing, including the interviews.

Personality wise to recreate the first time they were there, agreed, need the other guys, especially Roger. Musically, he is fairly replaceable. He replaces himself on his own shows and walks around the cover band lip syncing, I mean, double tracking... so, yeah.
