Login Problems Fixed? March 2022

Some of you will have struggled to log in recently and I hope I have fixed that problem now.

Please let me know that you can log in and post something on this thread even if its just "hello".



Info:

The site uses "cloudflare" to make it work "faster" and more "secure". It makes the site use encrypted data to protect privacy etc. The "cookies" data file on your computer that is set when you log in was coming from an insecure source and was configured on my end incorrectly. I believe I have now fixed that.

If you are still struggling to log in, please clear your browser cache and/or delete your cookies. In Google Chrome click the padlock next to the web address, click Cookies, then click remove.

Yes, I can log in. (never had problems as I normally just stay logged in even after closing browser or shutting down. But, I have to log in whenever you 'fix' things and restart the server)

It just gave me a little bit of static. Had to sign in a couple of times before it let me it...but it did let me in.

I had noticed the login issue happening again and I think I fixed it. If you have had trouble logging in, have another go now and post something.

When I first open NPF in Firefox on desktop, it shows me as not logged in:

So, I click on Login, and it shows me logged in as a certain Keith Jordan:

Then, going to e.g.

and, clicking on it. it now shows me logged in as me:

Am I having an identity crisis?

I am trying to protect the site from hackers and bots using cloudflare, but it seems to be messing things up!

I can add that this only just started happening, and doesn't seem to be happening right now. It has happened once for a while before, back when login problems first started happening I think.
