Seems a bit mean. Not sure the Russian people are to blame for anything.

Their government seems a bit mean at the moment though and this is just a small tool to draw their attention I guess.

And to think they extended the Another Lapse Tour of Europe to pay for the Moscow gigs they did

Gilmour took it further, on his request Nick Mason cancelled his NMSOS live dates in Russia scheduled for this summer, and pulled NMSOS live album from music services as well. On Gilmour's request, Syd Barrett's family pulled Syd's solo albums from Russian music services as well.Keith Jordan wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 6:33 pm Seems a bit mean. From my understanding, it has something to do with where the money goes when revenue is earned from streaming. Spotify always takes a cut of that money, so Russian headquarters might be taking a cut of Pink Floyd's music every time they stream. I imagine Gilmour's feeling is that he doesn't want to financially aid Russia in any way at the moment.Keith Jordan wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 6:33 pm Seems a bit mean. Hopefully, the Russian fans still have their CDs and records. And YouTube in an emergency.
