Guess its time to bump this thread up and wish everyone a Merry Christmas to those that celebrate it. Happy holidays to everyone that don't.

It's been a rather enjoyable Christmas, since we got a bunch of snow dumped on us, finally! But December seems to have been passing about eight times as fast as usual.

I'm sure January will still seem to take 97 days, though.

Merry Christmas and hope everyone is in a better place this year than time of posting thread.
It was a weird Christmas due to a murder in a neighbouring town on Christmas Eve. <.8.>
Other than that a great 2022. And stuff set up for next year that will either work, fall down, or fail entrance test!

Merry x-mas. I wanted some snow but this is impossible here in the south half of the globe at this time of year (and in my case, even if it was winter) :lol:
I am cooking some stuff and fortunately the air conditioneer is working :-;

Rain and more rain here. But Merry Christmas! Besides, it's January February March we see snow. Or we used to.

It's that time of the year again!

I much prefer the build up to Christmas rather than the thing itself. So much seems to be made of the whole thing yet it's all over within 24 hours. I can remember back in the 80's when the railway shut down for two solid days. No shops open for two solid days. I'd spend Christmas around various friends houses and have Christmas dinner around a big table with maybe 10 of us. My father in particular loving every minute of it. That number has now dwindled to three if it were to happen. ( which it doesn't anymore)
This year it'll just be me and my partner. I'll probably sit watching Big Jet TV all afternoon while she potters around. I'm taking the whole xmas period off this year for the first time in quite a few years. Just the thought of doing what one pleases for 11 days or so is rather nice and very much needed.

Anyone else care to share their views on it all and their plans?

This year... No trees or decorations! Family has completely broken down. Oh and no hot water. Ringing some people who might help tomorrow. But nothing will happen until after Christmas.
Had to buy my own presents. ("In A Silent Way","A Love Supreme","Papercuts", "Street Life" and even that 2CD package of the first two Daft Punk albums!)
But... Merry Christmas! I don't regret starting this thread. It's going to be a hard year. Absolutely terrifyingly hard. Try not to be so hard on yourselves.
