Re: Roger Waters - Music From The Body
Where can I hear "body transport taking off in the middle of the night", repeated or not."Body Transport" is a political song that criticizes the government and the military for their role in wars and the exploitation of the poor. The song's lyrics describe a situation in which the government is using body transport to send poor people to fight in a foreign war. The lyrics suggest that the government doesn't care about the people who are being sent to fight, and that they are viewed as disposable resources that can be easily replaced.
The song's chorus features the repeated phrase "Body transport taking off in the middle of the night," which emphasizes the sense of urgency and the idea that the people being sent to war are being taken away against their will.
And even then, where's the connection with war?
All I hear is snoring,
with Waters and maybe someone else having some weird dialogue?
Isn't 'The Body' about... a human body?Overall, "Body Transport" is a commentary on the themes of war, government corruption, and the exploitation of the poor, all of which are recurring themes in Waters' music. The song's lyrics and musical arrangement create a sense of urgency and unease, which reflect the seriousness of the issues being addressed

I guess we should be thankful to Ron for his influence over Roger Waters in particular when it comes to tape loops, effects and the like. An interesting album. Dark Side of the Moon would not be as interesting without all the tape loops etc.

Very disgusting that Dave, Rick and Nick playing on Give Birth to a Smile were uncredited in this album.

I wonder why they were not credited at all?
