Has anyone else seen the film The Ring. It's a remake of a japanese classic that's at a cinema near you right now.
I have to say, it's really very good. I guess the main reason is cause like the film The Wicker Man (as mentioned elsewhere on this forum) it's a subtle horror film with no real monstor or violant gory deaths. This is a film that relies purely on suspense and building the viewers attention and so it succeds. I'm definitly going to look out the japanese trilogy now.
Much better than all the other crap american horror films like Scream, that is apart from the start, if you're watching it then don't be put off, things do pick up.
Any other thoughts?
Oh, did anyone else see Donnie Darko either. Another brilliant film, you should all see it to. It's much better than the ring and was probably the best film of last year. That or 28 days later on my opinion.
Before you die you (must) see The Ring

what's your favourite film and movie bong?
Oh by the way, there is a difference between a film and a movie, a film is depth and meaning while a movie is only there to make money. An example is:
American Beauty - film
American Pie - movie
Well that's my theory anyway. My favourite film ever is Clerks, and i don't really have a favourite movie. Anyone else got a theory?

I've only seen a few parts of Fast times............... but I think any of the Porky's trilogy would be a strong contendor for funniest movie of the 80's.DaveMatthewsFan wrote:Jaws and Jaws 2 are both good, as well as American Beauty and Clerks, i love those movies. of course, American Pie is still an awesome, halarious movie, who doesnt love it? its kinda like Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which is the best comedy of the 80s
Same with Strange Brew.
