My Theory about why Roger hasnt put out any new albums

Leaving Beirut may be a new song...but it's not attached to any album project or anything.

So, Roger, using my friends logic, did have integrity playing DSOTM because he was promoting his hit single, Leaving Beirut.


Naaaaaaaaaaaaah, even with that good point about leaving Beirut, playing your album to your fans and making them happy as hell with a great concert, as I can attest to personally, is as unrelated to the concept of hurting one's integrity as apples and fried chicken.

By the way, I saw Paul McCartney in concert not too long ago. Good concert. Played a BUNCH of Beatles tunes. I dont recall him promoting a new album at the time. Course, that dude is always putting out new albums but CLEARLY there was no emphasis on a new album. Maybe one song...thats it. He focused on Beatles, Wings, and Paul McCartney hits from his past. I guess that guy damaged his reputation by doing that.

Based on his newest outburst during his middle east trip, calling out Israel....I think if he did an album now it would be full of Leaving Beruits. If that is the case, I hope he just sticks to making a great play for Broadway out of The Wall.

Difference was Pink Floyd were promoting a lot of new material at the same time. Only one of the songs in Roger's setlist was less than 20 years old despite him having released 3 solo albums since then (not counting that opera of course).

A point to you sir. Had completely forgotten he played that. Ok, so now that was 2 songs in a roughly 26 song set were younger than 20 years old, and only one of them younger than a 12 years when the tour began
