4 outta 10. I have in Utero and there are some good songs on there, but they are over hyped and overplayed. I dont feel the music goes anywhere its just a rant from start to finish. Although unplugged gets a 7 outta ten.
Fav Song: Francis farmer will have her revenge on seattle.

I think Nirvana was a great band, but not as revolutionary as it is suggested by the media. Pearl Jam beats them by far I think, and even Bush is better than them musically. (Everything Zen is one of the best tunes of grunge)
Kurt Cobain was a genius though, shame that he is being sold out nowadays.
Nirvana: 6/10

Favourite song: Aneurysm

Not a group I enjoy by far --- 2/10

However their Live album is great. Live at the muddy banks of the wishka I believe. The performances of their songs are just far better live so it seems.

3/10 not a big fan of them. My fave song would be The Man Who Sold The World, a David Bowie cover. I know...

8 out of 10- I like them, I'd say a very original band when rock music was at a downfall...... Gotta love In Utero, and his cover of The Man Who Sold The World (Bowie rocks, by the way- I got his new Ziggy Stardust 30th Motion Picture DVD and it kicks...) :D

Fav song? Serve the Servants :smt035

Have you heard it on vinyl? Its unbelievably raw and powerful, one of the best rock n roll albums out there! (shame the rest is so watered down :( )

I give them a 6/10.

Were they good? Sure. Were they very overhyped? Yep. I grew up practically worshipping Nirvana, but as time passed, I grew out of them and saw them for what they really are, decent music with too much hype.

Never thought they were anything special. Now, admittedly I don't fit their demographic. I'm old -38 and don't really fit the angry tortured soul segment group. I do love them for one reason....they just about single handidly put an end to hair music. Thank You for that!
