... and what about "Low"? The band absolutely rip it up on that trackkingfisher_flashing wrote:I agree Pat, I absolutely love that album. I can never understand why "Lonely as You" never got airplay. The best song on the album in my opinion.

Re: your 10/10 albums
I was 13 or 14 when 'the River' came out, I just thought the title track was beautiful so I got the album and was blown away. I don't recall that album being overplayed, except for "Hungry Heart" and yea I got tired of THAT one!Syd'sSexy wrote:I have absolutely no qualms with any of your other choices, but Springsteen? ARGH! I think I feel the same about him as mossy feels about The Doors, simply because his crappy music was so overplayed and all my college girlfriends listened to that shit ad nauseum when I was into Floyd and King Crimson. However, The Doors made GOOD music!GilmourGirl wrote:"The River" by the boss. A brilliant double album.
**gets coat**
That was the only album by the boss that I owned-no, I'm lying, I also have "Born In The USA". Forgot about that one! I was a fan of the boss, I liked some of his solo stuff also. But I got turned off when he played a show for that goofball Kerry during the Presidential thing. But I still like 'the River', it's good!
Morrison was a fluke. He was just in the right place at the right time. I see NOTHING special about him or his band. Jose Feliciano did a better "Light My Fire" than Morrison. Michael Hutchence had it down, that's the way Morrison TRIED to be, but he had nothing creative to offer. Barrett coulda kicked Morrison's ass if he wanted to. People only liked Morrison because he swaggered. I myself thought he was full of shit.

Re: your 10/10 albums
I don't see how so many people can have so many 10/10 albums on their lists. I just don't get it. I like a lot of albums, but consider a very select few to be 10's.

Re: your 10/10 albums
If every song on an album is extremely good, then I will gladly give it 10/10.bpmolder wrote:I don't see how so many people can have so many 10/10 albums on their lists. I just don't get it. I like a lot of albums, but consider a very select few to be 10's.
The only reason you only have a select few is because you're a narrow minded fool111111111111eooenone
