I just hate Doyle because of the stupid out-fit and chain he wore on the Roger Waters 2001 DVD  .
I think he was sollicitating that night for playing a gig with KISS or ABBA.

:? Probably Kiss
OUCH!!!!

Has anyone heard Doyle Bramhall II's solo albums, namely Jellycream and Welcome? They're actually quite good and honest blues-rock. He's a very good guitarist and songwriter, great choice for Roger Waters (IF Jeff Beck is not around).

Another silly question !
Why do people think that one guitarist is 'better' than another ?
It's all down to taste and the question is nonsensical.

But, answer this.

Why in the hell did Roger need 3, I mean 3, guitar players for his tour?

Wasn't one enough to learn the overmentioned slow, simple and silly Gilmour parts?

I agree! Doyle played well, but looked like a dork on stage. NOONE beats Gilmour. I guess a few "talifans" , "final cutters" and extreme pro-Roger people prefer Doyle, but that is jut because they despise Gilmour, and after that calling themselfs a 'fan'. Pathetic!!!

to achieve noteperfect replications of album versions that were originally done with a lot of overdubs
compare the vintage live versions from the 70s, even w snow White they couldnt replicate their studio arrangements

David sometimes has 3 guitarists playing on his tour doesn't he? Perhaps some songs dictate more than one guitarist?

I've never liked any of Roger's lead guitarists, except for Dave K. on his current tour, and Rick DeFonzo who played guitar with Roger in Berlin 1990. They rocked!

You mean Chester Kamen? Didn't care much for him. Not Jay Stapley either. Doyle was fair. I think Rick DeFonzo and Dave K are the best lead guitarists that has played with Roger if we don't count Clapton that is.

Yes! he had a playing style similar to Snowy or Gilmour. just some guy standing on stage playing guitar... not so strange as Doyle or Dave K., it was more "floyd-like" stage behaviour
