The idito down the landing. Last night there was some banging on the front door and from what I can gather it was a woman wanting to get in to stay the night with the guy who moved in downstairs a few weeks back. Derek, the guy who threatend me and pinned me up against the wall when I went to tell him he was pissing me off with the intimidating and outright threatening way he talked to me, came out and started shouting down to her about being woken up then he said 'somone's going to get knocked out soon' and she shouted up 'come on then'. Now fair eough she woke us all up but it's a fuckin' Sat night in a bedsit in a dodgy part of town. Sometimes you just have to shrug things off. A/w Derek pisses me off with his incessant talke of violence. One day he's going to say it to the wrong person and get the shit kicked out of him and I can't say I'll be first in line with the tea and biscuits.

My wrists start to ache whenever I'm using my Mac. I love it but I think the temptation to trade it in and go post pc with an ipad is too much. I'll see how much they'll give me for it tomorrow and have a play aroud with the ipad to see how feasible it is to use one as my main device here while using my old Windows PC at my folks hoouse as complementary device to do things I can't do on an ipad like store all my folders and files all of which will be off into the cloud if I get an ipad.

Nah! I'm going for the swap Apple product! Depending on how much CEX offer me for the Mac I bought off them a month or so ago I'm getting an iPad tomorrow. Can't wait. Brave new post PC world here I come!

Yes and I'll tell you why...It's because
A-I don't go around blaming bankers and potlicians and CEO's for my porblems or for the financial crises. The crisis is caused by people like me spdning my money on things I like instead of useing it wisely to enable me to survive better when/if the economy collapses. If it does and there's panic at the shops and general massive social unrest, which there would have been if the 'banks' hadn't been 'bailed out' and I can't get enough food to eat it won't be the bankers I'll blame...it'll be myself for being so greedy and consumeristic and hyungry for happiness from Apple products that i so unwisely and greedily bought. Although albeit mainly for leisure and enjoyment they also actually have some use as tools that benefit and enrich man kind esp. in their abiltiy to spread knowlege and information.
B-Neither do I go around slagging other people off, for e.g Ayn Rand, for not caring about the less fortunate esp. the kids dying in Africa etc. I don't care about them and I don't care about any other poor people or other people's misfortune in general unless I know and like them or have some vested interest in their health and wealth. That's why I don't sacrifice the things I like to help people in desperate need. Fuck the kids starving to death in AFrica. I WANT AN IPAD!! If people like mybreakfast, i.e lefty/liberal socialist types, was as honest with themselves then they wouldn't be such stinking hypocrites and have to deal with people like me getting on their case when they slag 'greedy banker's' off for being 'greedy'.

On no note can you just label Alan, or even me for that matter, as typical left-wing/liberal socialist types. It's not like right- wing is any Miss World itself. Neither Alan nor me are hypocrites if we strive for an ideal situation in which no one is opressed. Ayn Rand had a very narrow outlook in life and I'm not too impressed by what she tried to preach. Well i got my iPad but im not happy with it. It's got one massive drawback .... The keyboard is shit or rahtre using the keyboard is a very unsatisfying experience becuase the device itself is too wide to hold and use your thumbs to type letters in then middle of the keyboard. Whats really annoying about this is that there's the best part of an inch on either side made up of norhing but a black rim which if it could have been got rid of would make the decive thinner and consequently make typing easier while holding it with no loss in screen size. I can only think that it is not as weildly as it could be so people dont adopt it as a post-pc device because they don't want to or not yet throw the towel in on Mac sales. Two things:
1. Theyre making more money out of idevices even jsut iPads than they are Macs so theres no need to keep people buying macs jsut for the money
2. Steve jobs seemed pretty keen on using the phrase 'post pc-device' which implys no real sentiment to keeping pcs (and by that he meant personal computers in general not just Windows PCs...he was akaed specifically about this and explained he meant all Personal computers i.e Macs too) even a desire to create a PC killing device so it seems strange that The device he heralded so mmcuh which is the current epitome of a post-pc device has not been designed to enable typing to be as easy as possible. It's just too wide to comfortably hold in your hands and type...quite ludicrously so.
So it's back to slumming it on my old Vista Windows PC. I'll probably keep this as an ereader and to use a portable auxiliary to my PC until I save up for a new Mac in the next year or two. Luckily I got a lot more money for my mac than I'd anticipated and didn't even have to pay anything...I actually got £93 voucher back so I'm not too pissed off but not being able type comfortaly on an iPad is frustrating the fuck out of me.
