I've heard so many rumours about Rogers new rock album on the net. The latest rumour is for a release this July... which would be cool!
Apart from 'Flickering Flame' and 'Each Small candle' (which I assume will be included) I've also heard rumour of a song called 'Woman' and another called 'Love in spite of Traffic'..
The concept (again rumour) is something about a New York taxi driver who was once a torture victim. (Typical Rog cheery theme then!)
I've just picked this up from various web sites over the last few months or so. Has anyone heard anything else? It will be interesting to look back on this post when the album is out to see how wrong I was. Anyway I can't wait - bring it on Rog
I'm really looking forward to this record. IMO, Pros and Cons was his best. His other ones all sort of sound the same to me. I'm hoping that this one sort of Harkens back to that time period.
There was this cover story of Pink Floyd in this magazine I read ("Uncut" June Issue) that had interviews of the 4 Floyds, the 30th anniversary of DSOTM was the occasion. Waters mentioned working on this album at the end of the interview, here's a quote from that article:
[RW] "I've written a bunch of songs, and I find myself torn between allowing it to be about problems with relationships and being dragged into the whole polemic about Bush and Iraq and Blair. I think it may end up being about all those things."

Maybe he'll give us TWO albums in the near-future? One can wish, I guess
