Anyone, like me, interested in family history and Pink Floyd might find this little nugget interesting.

The Final Cut has a dedication to Eric Fletcher Waters (presumably Roger's dad).

There is a website run by the Commonwealth War Graves Gommission which has a database of everyone killed in active service in both WWs. It allows you to generate a certificate for your war-dead relatives.

Yeah Eric was Roger's dad. When the Tigers Broke Free was about the invasion Rog's dad went on or something like that.

WTTBF was the 'most' autobiographical............

but rodge has been writting biographical lyrics since 'corporal clegg'.........

include 'us & them', 'bring the boys back home', 'vera', etc etc etc etc etc..........

I particularly feel such songs as the Gunner's Dream are about Roger's dad. Roger's scream of ''and hold on to the dream'' to the ghost of his father is a tear-jerking moment.
